NCCAA Division I Tournament - Consolation Round

The Asbury Eagles recovered from yesterday's first round loss with a hard fought victory over Ecclesia this afternoon. The Eagles shot 64% in the first half to take a 10-point lead into the locker room. They never looked back, although Ecclesia fought hard to the end. Asbury was led by sophomore Jordan Hammonds with 20 points. Michael Spann contributed an all-around performance with 18 points, six rebounds and eight assists. T.J. Chinn came off the bench to score 16 points for Asbury.

Asbury (20-13) will move on to play Oakland City (13-15) Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in the 5th place game.
