NCAA Rankings and Joe Lunardi's Latest Bracketology

The new rankings are out and Louisville (23-5) sits at #6 in both polls. LSU (25-4) is the SEC's only ranked team and they come it at #12 in the AP Top 25 and #11 in the ESPN/USA Today Poll. The Big East, on the other hand, has six teams in the top 25 and three of the top six teams in both polls.

Joe Lunardi's latest Bracketology has been released and he projects Louisville as a 2-seed in the South Region. He has Kentucky (19-10) in the tournament as a 10-seed and facing California in the first round of the Midwest Region. He projects Western Kentucky (21-8) to win the Sun Belt's automatic bid and make the NCAA Tournament as a 13-seed. He has four teams from the SEC making the tournament, with Florida dropping off the bubble after their loss over the weekend. Finally, he projects that one-fourth of the tournament will consist of teams from the Big East and the ACC - eight teams from each conference.
