Northern Kentucky, Bellarmine in GLVC Tournament Semifinals

Northern Kentucky and Bellarmine have advanced to the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. The Norse will take on Rockhurst at 6:15 PM tonight and Bellarmine will battle Southern Indiana in the nightcap.

Northern Kentucky advanced with a 69-64 quarterfinal victory over Saint Joseph's. The Norse were led by Leslie Malone with 18 points. They also picked up 12 points each from A'Daeron Duncan and Billy Finnel. Andrew Helmer scored a game-high 20 points for Saint Joseph's.

Bellarmine crushed Quincy in their quarterfinal game by a score of 69-45. Justin Benedetti led the victors with 18 points and 5 rebounds.

Kentucky Wesleyan was also in the GLVC tournament, but they lost their quarterfinal game in a heart breaker to Rockhurst by only one-point (69-68). T.J. Smith exploded for a triple-double for Bellarmine. He scored a game-high 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
