First, some Shark Bytes from legendary Runnin Rebel's coach Jerry Tarkanian:
As a college basketball fan, I admire someone that has as much basketball knowledge and experience as Jerry Tarkanian. In his Shark Bytes column in the Las Vegas Sun, the Shark talks about the Kentucky/UNLV game tonight. He recalls some memories of playing against the Cats in the 1980's and his love for former Kentucky coach Joe B. Hall. As always, Tarkanian alludes to some of the, how shall we say this, less-than-ethical occurrences from the Wildcats of old. Here is an enjoyable read from Jerry "The Shark" Tarkanian: The Bluegrass State and the Wildcats
Then, there is this wasted space that made its way to the Las Vegas Sun:
Here is the opening sentence of an article by Rob Miech that can only be classified as off-base: I will not be surprised if C.M. Newton sends limousines for Kentucky players tonight to transport them from their dorms or apartments to Memorial Coliseum.
This "author" (used loosely in this instance) feels that former Kentucky athletics director C.M. Newton took care of the Cats by giving them a home game they did not deserve. He throws in there this great statement: "In these parts, they take care of their own." He adds that it's difficult to tell how the Cats will be supported tonight. Well, guess what Rob, the game is sold out and you can prepare yourself for a lesson in spelling:
"C-A-T-S... Cats! Cats! Cats!"
