Hilltoppers Sign JUCO Forward Cliff Dixon

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have added their sixth recruit for the 2009-10 season. Head coach Ken McDonald has announced the signing of Cliff Dixon from Suitland, Maryland. He is a 6-10, 215-pound forward that will enter Western as a junior and have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Dixon played for Hutchinson Community College (Kansas) last season and averaged 15.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Dixon is rated by Rivals.com as a three-star recruit and JucoJunction.com has the post player as the fifth-best junior college player in the country.

"I am really excited, Cliff is another really versatile player with a ton of potential," said McDonald. "I think he is a good kid. I don't even think he has scratched the surface in terms of how much he can improve and how much he can be a threat on the floor. He plays on the perimeter, he plays on inside. He is very long, he's a good athlete, and he can shoot the ball, so he brings a lot of versatility to our team and a lot of mismatch problems for other teams."
