Mid-Continent University Signs PG Tyler Huston

Mid-Continent University has signed point guard Tyler Huston to an NAIA Letter of Intent for the 2009-10 season. Huston is from Pleasant View Christian School in Ashland City, Tennessee.

MCU coach and former Kentucky Wildcat star Winston Bennett describes Huston as: "A shooter with unlimited long-range capabilities and an excellent ball-handler, penetrator and finisher."

Huston scored 1,291 points in two seasons at Pleasant View Christian School, passing the 1,000 career-point mark on January 23, 2009. He ranked in the top five in scoring in the Tennessee Mid-State area and received All-Region and All-State as a junior and senior and All-State Tournament honors in the 2008 and 2009 TACS Tournaments. Huston led PVCS to its first Tennessee state tournament appearance ever in 2008.
