Murray State Signs JUCO Forward A.J. Wilson

The Murray State Racers have signed A.J. Wilson of Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. Wilson is a 6'6", 215-pound forward who played the last two seasons for Northeastern. He averaged 16.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game last season. Wilson led the team with 63% field goal shooting, including 32% from beyond the 3-point line.

"His ability to score is something that attracted us," Racers' coach Billy Kennedy said. "He's also capable of making the three-pointer and he can block shots."

He competed at Mt. Zion Christian Academy in Durham, N.C. in the 2005-06 season with current Racer Danero Thomas.

Wilson played at Saint Bernard’s High School and was named All-Minnesota Third Team after the 2004-05 season.
