Two With Kentucky Ties Honored by CollegeInsider.com

Ivan Aska of Murray State and Shelvin Mack of Butler have been selected to the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Freshman All-America Team.

Aska, who was also named OVC Freshman of the Year, averaged 10.3 points and 5.8 rebounds a game for the Racers. Aska, originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, earned OVC Freshman of the Week honors three times. He helped lead Murray State to a 19-12 record.

Mack is a Kentuckian that played his high school basketball for Bryan Station High School in Lexington. He averaged 11.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Butler Bulldogs. The Bulldogs, who play in the Horizon League, finished the season at 26-6 and lost to LSU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The 21-player All-America Team was selected by a panel of NCAA DI coaches, NBA scouts and CollegeInsider.com staff.
