Today is the day that we'll know the future of Kentucky shooting guard Jodie Meeks. If he returns to Kentucky for his senior season, the Cats will likely be a top 3 preseason team and will be primed for a deep tournament run. If he stays in the NBA Draft, Kentucky will still likely be a top 10 team, but expectations will be a little less in March.
Barring a late change-of-heart, I have been told that Meeks will be back at Kentucky. He is likely waiting to the last minute to see if anything changes, but it is unlikely that he's going to get a first-round guarantee.
So, we will continue to patiently wait for Jodie to announce his decision.
Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com thinks Jodie will likely withdraw at some point today:
"He won’t get that guarantee he’s searching for, so it’s likely he’ll withdraw sometime today."
