Where Will Matt Pilgrim Settle?

Last night, we attempted to debunk the rumor that Kentucky would use Jodie Meeks' vacated scholarship to pursue the talented, but troubled, Lance Stephenson. Tonight, we attack another rumor.

Following John Calipari's Father/Son Basketball Camp, there has been a growing thought that Matt Pilgrim may actually return to the Kentucky team and be rewarded with Meeks' scholarship. Apparently, Pilgrim worked the basketball camp and showed his athleticism during the camp's pickup games. Now, several folks are saying he may return to Kentucky.

My thoughts are that Pilgrim will be transferring to another school after summer school. I feel that there is basically no chance he returns to Kentucky. A rumor that I find much more interesting is that he could possibly end up playing for Travis Ford and Oklahoma State. Some other possibilities that have been tossed around include Georgetown College, Nebraska, Cincinnati and even a return to Hampton.

My Thoughts: For the second night in a row, I predict that this rumor is false and Pilgrim will not be a Kentucky Wildcat in 2009-10.

Scott Padgett had even stated that he thopught Pilgram might have been a starter on his Talevision show in Louisville. He obviously realized his eneormous potential and this after Cousins and Orton had committed. Mishandled by Gillespie? Misunderstood by Cal? Maybe its about playing time...

It is possible that there are other circumstances - perhaps academics, off-the-court stuff or maybe even attitude. I don't know of anything like that, but there has to be something going on.

How do you become a starter on a television show?
