Antwain Barbour Signs With Top-Level Spanish Team

Former Kentucky Wildcat Antwain Barbour has signed with a top-level team in Spain.

He most recently played for Erdemirspor Belediyesi in the Turkish Basketball League, the same league where Gerald Fitch (Kentucky) was recently named MVP and also where Chris Lofton (Tennessee) played last season. In Turkey, Barbour was in the league's top 10 in scoring with 18.3 point per game.

Barbour played for Tenerife Rural in a lower-level Spanish League before his move to Turkey. He averaged 18.9 points per game at Ternerife last season to lead the LEB Gold league. He also led the league in scoring in 2007-08 with 19.5 points per outing.

Since leaving UK in 2004, Barbour has made stops in the ABA, CBA, Spain and Turkey.
