Former Wildcat Allen Edwards Hired at Towson

Allen Edwards, a former Kentucky Wildcat player and Morehead State assistant coach, has been hired as an assistant at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. He will be an assistant to head coach Pat Kennedy.

As a friend of Edwards during his time in Morehead, I will happily say that Allen is one of the nicer guys a person could ever meet (and one of the better players that yours truly has the pleasure of playing with in the Morehead City League). Most recently, Edwards was an assistant to Anthony Grant at Virginia Commonwealth. When Grant moved to Alabama, he did not take Edwards with him. It is great to see Edwards land a job with a well-respected head coach like Kennedy.

Excerpt:

“Allen Edwards comes from real pedigree,” Kennedy said. “His experience playing for Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith and working under Kyle Macy and Anthony Grant has prepared him to have a great impact here at Towson.”

Allen Edwards would have been a star on most teams! I am very happy for him.
