Bowling Green's Chane Behanan has developed into a hot commodity on the recruiting trail since he decided to decommit from Cincinnati and explore other options.
Behanan, a 6-7 forward in the 2011 class, had an enjoyable visit to Kentucky on Saturday. Today, he had a meeting with Western Kentucky assistant David Boyden. Tonight, he received a visit from West Virginia's Bob Huggins. Immediately after that, he was visited by Oklahoma State's Travis Ford and his entire coaching staff.
Tomorrow, Behanan will entertain Mississippi State's Rick Stansbury and his coaching staff.
Bowling Green head coach D.G. Sherrill says, "Chane is excited. He is really enjoying the recruiting process.
"He has great physical size and all the tools to succeed. What is probably more impressive than his basketball skills is that he's a great kid. He's just a quality young man."
Sherrill has been contacted by an impressive list of high-major NCAA Division I coaches that are either actively recruiting or hoping to start recruiting Behanan.
He has received offers from Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, Western Kentucky, West Virginia, Xavier and Ohio State. In addition, he is being actively recruited by Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Purdue, Tennessee and Mississippi State.
Sherrill says, "The coaches are basically all impressed with how well put-together Chane is. He is a solid 6-7, 235-pound kid that can handle the ball and shoot. They think he can come in an play immediately."
