Derrick Miller Pleads Guilty in Kentucky Tickets Scam

Former UK basketball star Derrick Miller pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Clark County ticket scam case.

Miller, who was originally charged with theft, pleaded guilty to criminal intent after police say he took about $5,000 from two Clark County businessmen for UK basketball tickets he never produced.

The plea deal requires Miller to pay $2,500 in restitution and he will also enroll in a Louisville rehab program through the Volunteers of America.

Miller's lawyer said that his client had developed a drug problem that led him to his actions.

Miller is accused of selling UK tickets he didn't have to people in at least five counties across the state. Another former UK player, Ed Davender is also accused of selling UK tickets he didn't produce. At this point, however, police don't think the two worked together.
