As players that could likely be in this year’s Final Four gathered around, Larry Bird and Earvin “Magic” Johnson were among the newest class of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
Bird and Johnson headlined a class that also included former Oklahoma star Waymon Tisdale, former Michigan St. coach Jud Heathcoate, Kentucky State’s Travis Grant, former University of Alabama-Burmingham and Memphis St. coach Gene Bartow and contributor Bill Wall.
