Terrence Williams, Courtney Lee Part of NBA History

Former Louisville star Terrence Williams and former Western Kentucky star Courtney Lee will forever be a part of NBA basketball history as members of this season's New Jersey Nets. Unfortunately, it is not exactly the kind of history one wants to be remembered for.

With a 106-87 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Nets have tied the NBA record for most consecutive losses to start a season. New Jersey now sits at 0-17, which ties the 1988 Miami Hat and 1999 Los Angeles Clippers for the worst start in league history. Winning the next game will not be easy as the Nets host the powerful Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

The Nets have fired head coach Lawrence Frank in an attempt to correct things, but the solution will not be a fast one. The Nets are the lowest-scoring and poorest-shooting team in the NBA and their roster is filled with youth. The quartet of Brook Lopez, Williams, Lee and Chris Douglas-Roberts provides a talented core of promising prospects, but the Nets will not win many games anytime soon.
