The Tigers, following an 80-61 victory over Edward Waters in the consolation game of the Jim Reid Classic Saturday, are not where GC coach Happy Osborne wants them to be.
“There is a lot we have got to do,” the veteran coach said. “We aren’t close to touching what we can be. When (Maurice Pearson) was there we were getting ready to roll. Now we are recovering from that.”
Pearson injured his knee Nov. 11 against Ohio Dominican and right now Osborne is just trying to get him healthy. The senior does not practice and only plays sparingly, something the veteran coach hopes a 20-day break for the holiday will help to change.
