Rajon Rondo Plays Well in Romp Over China

Former UK point guard Rajon Rondo and Team USA dominated the Chinese national team in a closed scrimmage at Madison Square Garden earlier today.

The score was reset after each quarter, but in total, the United States outscored China 98-51.

Here is an excerpt from John Schuhmann of NBA Hang Time Blog:

The score was reset after each quarter, but in total, the U.S. won 98-51. China, however, did win the fourth quarter 17-16.
Danny Granger led all scorers with 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting (3-for-4 from 3-point range). Rudy Gay had seven rebounds and Rajon Rondo had seven assists.

In an interview at MSG, Rondo told Boston.com that he will have no problems playing with new Celtic Shaquille O'Neal:

"Shaq's not a perimeter shooter and neither is (Kendrick Perkins)," he said Saturday from Madison Square Garden. "They're both great finishers around the rim, very efficient, shoot a high field-goal percentage. A lot of people are saying Shaq is going to clog up the paint but Perk didn't clog up the paint. They are two different players but at the end of the day we've got Paul (Pierce), Ray (Allen) and Kevin (Garnett) on the perimeter to spread the defense. There's only so much you can do as far as clogging up the paint."
