I spoke to a source this afternoon who is close to 2011 recruit Braeden Anderson.
Anderson originally signed with DePaul but was released from his LOI.
The source said he's being recruited by a myriad of top-level schools.
"UCLA, Cal, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, UCF, Maryland, Virginia and Tennessee are all trying to get in on him," the source said.
He added, "They're all recruiting him, but he loves Kentucky."
Anderson is listed as a 6-8 power forward and rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.
While he isn't currently considered a top 100 recruit, he is a player who can fill a hole for the Wildcats. With the loss of Enes Kanter, the underwhelming development of Eloy Vargas and the loss of senior Josh Harrellson, the Wildcats will likely need another big on the roster.
Anderson joins God's Gift Achiuwa and Stan Simpson as potential big man targets for 2011.
My Thoughts: I don't believe that Kentucky has actually offered Anderson at this point, but there has been interest shown. I'll label is as something to keep an eye on.
