- Kentucky recruits Michael Gilchrist, Kyle Wiltjer, Shabazz Muhammad, Perry Ellis and Archie Goodwin were all named Gatorade Player of the Year in their respective states.

- UK recruit God's Gift Achiuwa and Erie Community College defeated Louisburg College 76-75 in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA DII National Tournament. Erie will play Kiel Turpin and Lincoln College in Friday's 8:00 p.m. ET semifinal.

- Bowling Green's Chane Behanan (Louisville) will play in the 2011 KABC East/West Charity All-Star Classic on Saturday at Transylvania University. Warren Central's George Fant (WKU) will also be in the event.
