Brandon Knight's three-pointer to beat the buzzer against Connecticut didn't change the outcome of the game but it did rewrite the University of Kentucky basketball record books.
According to the Herald-Leader, Knight's buzzer-beater gave the 2010-11 Kentucky team the distinction of being the top three-pointer shooting team in UK history. The Wildcats finished with a percentage of 39.74, which just edged the 1995-96 team (39.70).
If Knight's final shot would have missed its target, the team would have finished at 39.60.
