We were eating at San Miguel's restaurant in Shelter Cove at Hilton Head Island last night and they had some live music.
The singer performed John Denver's "Country Roads", which UK fans will remember blaring loudly after West Virginia defeated Kentucky two seasons ago in the NCAA Tournament.
During the song, a man dressed in a white University of Kentucky shirt walked by and screamed "West Virgina sucks!"

I stopped recording and chased the man down. It turns out, he is from Lexington and is a huge Kentucky basketball fan. He admitted that he was slightly under the influence (his wife said he started drinking at 9:00 a.m.), but added, "I stand by my statement."

^ Again, another stupid comment and failed attempt to judge a fanbase.
I guess finding ways on blogs is the way other fanbases try and get even with UK fans since their favorite teams seem to come up short against the CATS whether they play on the court or on the field.

UConn didnt come up short against UK a few months back did they? Some of us come here to read the articles about the other schools in Kentucky other than UK.

UConn got lucky UK couldnt hit anything. If they shoot the way they do the weekend before, UConn gets stomped. At least our team was rewarded for their academics instead of having the coach fined for how dumb the team is.
Your right UCONN didn't come up short. However you don't seem like a fan of the huskees but UL did come up short :). This is a an "ALL" Kentucky sports blog, but for you fans who hate UK, you should get used to the fact that this site is dominated with Kentucky articles and Kentucky fans. Get used to it. Maybe UK had the same thing happen to them Butler did, UConns defense shut them down.
They did play a great defense in uconn, but rushed shots didn't help either. Doesn't matter. A Final four banner will be hung at big blue madness and sooner than later another will be hung. Kentucky basketball's history and tradition will never stop.

This is just so dumb. If you have so much disdane for anything West Virginia why on earth are you filming it Anthony???? If this situation heightens your entertainment senses then you probably should try a different vacation destination.
^ totally missed the point on this one. smh. get a sense of humor... and West Virginia sucks - as a state in general. when people refer to Kentucky as nothing more than inbred hillbillies, i always reply "No, your thinking of West Virginia."
