Former University of Louisville point guard Edgar Sosa suffered a gruesome injury in the final moments of the Dominican Republic's win over Panama this morning.
The injury appeared to be a completely broken bone in his leg. It was so severe that players from both teams were visibly crying on the court.
Sosa obviously is a big part of the Dominican Republic team and this is a terrible loss as they work towards Olympic qualification at the 2011 FIBA Americas Championship.
Our prayers go out to Edgar this morning.
