Former Kentucky Center Jared Carter Signs with Summerside Slam

Former University of Kentucky center Jared Carter has signed with the Summerside Slam, a National Basketball League of Canada team.

Jared Carter, who played his college basketball at the University of Kentucky, was defensive player of the year in the Premier Basketball League (PBL) last year. He was also named to the second All-League team, and made the All-Defensive team.

Carter was signed to fill a roster spot left vacant when six-foot-10 centre Xavier Hansbro of Trezevant, Tenn., left the Storm over the weekend to return home for personal family reasons.
