Game recap by CU:

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville squandered a 17-point half-time lead, but held on late to defeat Shawnee State 68-57 in the Powell Athletic Center.

Kevin Bobson hit back-to-back 3s in the first half triggering a 13-2 run and a 40-23 halftime lead. And, it was Bobson's 3 with under a minute to play in the game that gave CU a 65-57 lead.

"We needed a win, bad," said Coach Keith Adkins. "But we have to play better than that.

"The first half we were really, really good and our energy level was great," continued Adkins. "I don't have a clue what happened in the second half. You have to play the full 40 minutes."

Shawnee (8-12, 3-6) ran off a run of 17-9 to get the Bears back in the game. They closed to within eight on several occasions, and when Tyler Boyles hit a 3 with two minutes to go his team trailed by only five, 62-57.
