How is This for All Kentucky Hoops?

The inspiration behind AllKyHoops.com has always been a passion for basketball, using the sport to help people in a positive way and a love for promoting the teams around the Bluegrass state.

With that being said, business is great this week as the state has ranked teams from Murray to Pikeville, the top teams in two divisions and NCAA Division I's only remaining undefeated team.

Let's take a look:

NCAA Division I

- University of Kentucky (19-1): Ranked No. 1 in both the AP Top 25 and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll (unanimous). The Wildcats are one tough road loss away from being a perfect 20-0. Most everyone expects to see John Calipari's talented team in the Final Four and many prognosticators have the Cats cutting down the nets this season.

- Murray State University (20-0): Ranked No. 9 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 11 in the AP Top 25. The Racers are 20-0 and nothing more needs to be said. I'll add that they haven't exactly played cupcakes. The Racers won the Great Alaska Shootout and picked up a big league road win at Memphis. They are becoming the darlings of college basketball and nearing lock status for an NCAA Tournament appearance. Who wants to face the Racers in March?

- University of Louisville (15-5): Ranked No. 25 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll; RV in AP Top 25. The Cardinals have struggled in recent weeks, primarily due to an unfathomable number of key injuries. Rick Pitino will pull this team together and win some games down the stretch.

NCAA Division II

- Bellarmine University (16-1): Ranked No. 1 in this week's NABC/Division II Coaches Poll. The defending national champs are back on top and starting to look similar to the team that cut down the nets last season.

- Kentucky Wesleyan College (15-2): Ranked No. 7 in this week's NABC/Division II Coaches Poll. The Panthers were ranked No. 1 in the nation last week but a pair of losses have dropped them to No. 7. The bad news for KWC is that leading scorer Cardell McFarland is lost for at least one month with a foot injury. The good news is that he will be back and the Panthers are really good.

- Northern Kentucky University (15-2): Ranked No. 9 in this week's NABC/Division II Coaches Poll. The Norse opened play this season with a staggering exhibition upset over West Virginia. NKU is having a great season and the team continues to improve. Keep in mind, the NCAA Division II national championship will be played in Northern Kentucky's home arena.

NCAA Division III

- Transylvania University (15-2): Ranked No. 25 this week in the D3hoops.com national poll. Transy is currently on top of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and well on their way to a national tournament appearance.

NAIA Division I

- Georgetown College (17-3): Ranked No. 4 in NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Here's a surprise for you...Georgetown College is a top 10 team this season. It may be somewhat of a surprise with Happy Osborne moving on but Chris Briggs has stepped into the coaches' chair adequately. I've watched them play several times and I have news for you - the Tigers are still a national powerhouse and will make a run for the grand prize.

- Lindsey Wilson College (15-4): Ranked No. 8 in NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Blue Raiders are somewhat of a surprise but they are playing great basketball right now. The defeated Georgetown on an 80-foot hail mary last week but the win was no fluke. Lindsey Wilson is talented and can flat torch the nets from long range.

- University of Pikeville (12-7): Ranked No. 23 in the NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The defending national champs will be in rebuilding mode this season after losing a big part of their roster to graduation. Yeah right. Coach Kelly Wells has cleaned up his roster, managed to get all of his new faces on the same page and the Bears once again look like a team capable of making a deep run.

- St. Catharine College (8-8): RV in NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 Poll. They haven't put all the pieces together yet, but the Patriots literally have one of the most talented rosters in the Mid-South Conference. They have the talent to compete for a national title. If this team starts clicking on all cylinders...watch out.
