Murray State Players Visit Sedalia Elementary Students

Several Murray State players and cheerleaders visited students at Sedalia Elementary in rural Graves County on Thursday.

Here is an excerpt about the Racers' visit from WPSD Local 6:

Just a few miles southeast of Mayfield lies the little town of Sedalia. It's about a twenty-five minute drive to the rural Graves County town, from the Murray State University campus. But for Racers players and cheerleaders on Thursday, it was definitely a trip worth making.

Hundreds of children ages five through twelve packed the gymnasium at Sedalia Elementary, giving Racers guards Isaiah Canaan and Jewuan Long, a very loud welcome. The school's prinicpal, Robert Braden, says he wanted to get a couple of the Murray State players to the school to talk to children about learning, studying, and working hard.
