UPIKE to Give Away Truck on Appalachian Wireless Night

The University of Pikeville will give away all kinds of prizes on Thursday night, including a Kelly Wells Signature Edition UPIKE Ford F150 truck.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The night you've been hearing about is nearly here. In less than one week, one lucky fan will drive away from the East Kentucky Expo Center in a brand new pickup truck courtesy of Appalachian Wireless, Bruce Walters Ford, East Kentucky Broadcasting and the University of Pikeville.

This Thursday night when the Bears host the University of the Cumberlands will be Appalachian Wireless Night. At halftime of the men's game the Kelly Wells Signature Edition UPIKE Ford F150, black with orange detailing, with personalized UPIKE logos and Kelly Wells autographs both on the outside and the interior of the vehicle, will be given away.

There will be 12 finalists for the truck this year, including one who will be drawn from those in attendance at the women's game that evening.

But that's not all. As has become a staple on Appalachian Wireless Night, many more will walk away winners. Among the items to be given away are:

•Consolation prizes to the other 11 finalists, which include a new phone, service work at Walters Ford and gift cards
•The first 3,000 fans through the door will be given T-shirts
•There will be a contest at halftime of the women's game where two people will drop a Sonim phone from the catwalk and try to hit a garbage can for $10,000 each
•Two 51” Samsung Plasma TVs
•Two Motorola Xoom's
•Five Motorola Milestone X2 phones and 5 Sonim phones
