Former Western Kentucky stars Courtney Lee and Jeremy Evans have earned qualifying offers from their respective NBA teams.
The Houston Rockets extended a $4.3 million qualifying offer to Lee on Friday. The move ensures that Lee will be a restricted free agent and Houston will be able to match any offer sheet he receives.
According to Chron.com, Houston intends to keep Lee as a free agent, but he will be able to attract offers greater than the qualifying offer necessary to keep him a restriced free agent.
Sacbee.com reports that the Utah Jazz have tendered a qualifying offer to Evans.
Evans played in 78 games during the last two seasons, averaged 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds. He won the 2012 Slam Dunk championship during NBA All-Star Weekend.
