Article Says UK Has Contacted Thomas Nelson's Dikembe Dixson

According to an article by IndepthSportsOnline.com, Kentucky is the latest school to reach out to 2015 forward Dikembe Dixson of Thomas Nelson High School.

Dixson recently opened many eyes with his performance at John Lucas' Midwest Invitational camp.

Here is an excerpt:

Two things that really stood out to me when getting my first look at Dikembe were his shot blocking and passing abilities. I asked him how important it is to him to be more than “just a scorer”.

“That’s the most important thing,” he reasoned. “Because if you go against a good defender and they stop you from scoring, you have other things that you can fall back on and still help out the team. If I was just a scorer and I got stopped by a good defender, I wouldn’t be any help to the team.”

Dixson told me that he has been hearing from a variety of schools. So far, he has received interest from Kentucky Wesleyan, Connecticut, West Virginia, Morehead State, Indiana State, Stanford, Detroit and, most recently, Kentucky. The Wildcats contacted Dikembe this weekend after his performance at the Midwest Invitational. That list is guaranteed to expand very soon. He hasn’t taken any visits yet, but he plans to start taking some during this school year.
