Here's a release from BU:

INDIANAPOLIS — The Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason men's basketball poll has a familiar ring to it, which means Bellarmine University's program under Head Coach Scott Davenport is still held in the highest regard.

The Knights and Drury have once again been selected to win the East and West Divisions, respectively, for the upcoming 2014-15 Great Lakes Valley Conference season, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday. The annual GLVC preseason poll was voted on by the league's coaches and ranks the top-eight teams in each of the conference's two divisions. Last year, Bellarmine and Drury were also the favorites to win the divisions.

Bellarmine (23-8, 12-6 in 2013-14) beat out Lewis for the top spot in the GLVC East Division preseason rankings. The Knights grabbed six of those first-place nods for a total of 102 points in the poll. Bellarmine, which finished fifth in the GLVC East last year but advanced to the finals of the GLVC Championship Tournament, was recently ranked No. 13 by Basketball Times and 16th by Division II Bulletin. In addition, Basketball Times recognized senior forward Jake Thelen as a Preseason All-American, after he led the nation in field-goal percentage a year ago when he made a school-record 74 percent of his shots. He is Bellarmine's leading returning scorer and rebounder, having averaged 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last year.
