DeAndre Liggins is Reportedly Headed to Russia for 2014-15

Former University of Kentucky guard DeAndre Liggins might be headed to Russia for the 2014-15 season.

Liggins has reportedly finalized a deal with Karsny Oktyabr in Russia's top-level VTB United League.

Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd (VTB) is close to sign 26-year old American guard Deandre Liggins (198-95kg-88, college: Kentucky) who currently plays Los Angeles Clippers in NBA. The last season Liggins played at Sioux Falls Skyforce in D-League. In 47 games he recorded 14.2ppg, 7.1rpg, 4.7apg and 2.6spg. He helped them to win the Central Division title. Great season indeed as he was awarded USBasket.com All-D-League Defensive Player of the Year and voted to 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game. Liggins also played at the Heat in NBA earlier that season. In only one game he had just 2 points and 1 rebound. He also spent pre-season at the Thunder in NBA earlier that year. Liggins was also tried-out by Oklahoma City Blue (previous name Tulsa 66ers) in D-League. He contributed to his team winning the Central Division title. A very good season in his career as he was awarded USBasket.com All-D-League Defensive Player of the Year and voted to 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game.
