Media Picks UK to Win the SEC, Aaron Harrison is Preseason Player of the Year

The media unanimously picked Kentucky to win the Southeastern Conference yesterday during the SEC Tipoff event.

The Wildcats received all 20 first-place votes and 280 total points. Florida is second with 258 points. Arkansas, LSU and Georgia round out the top 5.

It is the first time Kentucky has been a unanimous selection since Rick Pitino's 1996 team.

UK's Aaron Harrison was voted the SEC Preseason Player of the Year and named to the preseason All-SEC First Team.

Willie Cauley-Stein, Karl Towns, Andrew Harrison and Alex Poythress were all named to the Second Team.
