Murray State Freshman JayQuan McCloud is Leaving Racer Basketball Program

Murray State head coach Steve Prohm has confirmed that freshman guard JayQuan McCloud is leaving the Racer basketball program.

According to Prohm, McCloud is homesick and wants to move closer to home.

Murray State basketball coach Steve Prohm says freshman guard JayQuan McCloud has decided to leave the Racer program. Prohm said McCloud is homesick and wants to move closer to home.

McCloud averaged 17.4 points per game as a senior at North Chicago Community High School in Illinois. Prohm said this situation has been going on for a few weeks. Prohm recently met with McCloud and his family as they tried to figure out a way for the freshman to stay with the Racers, but that did not happen.
