Nestor Colmenares Earns Player of the Week Honors in Uruguay

Former Campbellsville University star Nestor Colmenares was named Player of the Week in Uruguay's top-level LUB league this week.

Colmenares had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds in Trouville's 91-71 win over Bohemios.

27-year old power forward Nestor Colmenares (203-PF-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Trouville and receives a Player of the Week award for round 6.

He had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Bohemios (#5, 3-2) with 20-point margin 91-71. Trouville is placed at 2nd position in Uruguayan league. They are still close to the very top. Trouville would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. Colmenares turned to be Trouville's top player in his first season with the team. Campbellsville University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Colmenares is in league's top in points (9th best: 16.8ppg), rebounds (5th best: 10.3rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg,2.8spg and 54.2% FGP.


Former Kentucky Wesleyan star Anthony Young was sixth in the voting this week following a 26-point, 11-rebound performance.
