Rio Grande, Cincinnati Christian Favored in New-Look KIAC

University Rio Grande and Cincinnati Christian University are the picks to win their respective divisions in the new-look Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this season.

Rio Grande, which comes to the KIAC from the Mid-South Conference, earned 5 first-place votes and 44 total points in the North Division. IU East is just behind with 5 first-place votes and 43 points. Point Park, IU Kokomo and Carlow University round out the North Division.

In the South Division, Cincinnati Christian leads the way with 6 first-place votes and 46 points. IU Southeast is next with 3 first-place votes and 42 points.

Teams from Kentucky are picked to finish in the bottom three places in the South Division. Asbury and Brescia are tied for third with 24 points. Brescia also earned a single first-place vote. Alice Lloyd College is picked to finish last in the South Division with 14 points.
