Bryan College's Brandon Cole Scores 51 Points in Win Over St. Catharine College

Dayton, TN- The Bryan College Lions took the court back home at Summers Gymnasium again Monday against, last year NAIA Division 1 Elite 8, St. Catherine's (KY) in an exciting 102-86 win for the Lions.

The Lions scored the games first 9 points on a 3 pointer from Senoir Alan Holt, 2 thunderous dunks from Freshman Tyler Yoder and 2 inside scores from Junior Brandon Cole. The lop sided start was short lived as St. Catherine's became hot from behind the 3 point line, hitting 9 in the first half, inching back into the game. As the game became more intense Cole took over, scoring in a variety of ways to keep the Lions ahead.

Helping Cole's first half, 24 points and 8 rebounds, was the play of Oteriah Lee. The Freshman Point Guard, who dazzled the crowd with his lighting quick skill, finished the first half with 8 points and 4 assists. Yoder finished the half with 9 points as the Lions took the lead into the locker room 49-45 at the half.

The second half started with Cole picking up right where he left off, scoring the teams first 7 points of the half. But for every Lion play St. Catherine's seemed to have one of their own to keep the game close. Freshman Brice Cusick entered the and hit two big 3 point shots that sent the home crowd in a roar and giving the Lions an extra push of confidence.

As the game was winding down Brandon Cole iced the game with critical scores, to finally push the lead out of reach. Cole finished the night with a jaw dropping 51 points & 16 rebounds. 3 Freshmen had great nights as well with Oteriah Lee finished with 15 points & 9 assists, Brice Cusick 13 points & 5 rebounds along with Tyler Yoders 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot. Junior Robert Troino also added 9 points on three big 3 point shots.

The Lions are now 3-0 on the young season and have a very tall task in front of them Wednesday night as the travel to, NCAA Division 1, Austin Peay State University.
