Cordia Allowed to Play Basketball This Season; Will Have Reduced Schedule and No Postseason

After a meeting that lasted more than three hours, the KHSAA has decided to reduce penalties against the Cordia boy's basketball program.

The Lions will be allowed to compete during the regular season in 2015, but will only be allowed to play 15 games.

In addition, Cordia is banned from the postseason for two years. Head coach Rodrick Rhodes is barred from coaching during those two postseasons, as well.

The KHSAA committee also decided unanimously that all of Cordia's wins from last season will not count.

Of the 27 violations originally cited against Cordia, eight were rejected and one was dismissed.
