Kentucky Wesleyan to Host Purple/White Game Tongiht

Kentucky Wesleyan College will host their annual Purple/White Game tonight in Owensboro.

Here are details:

The Kentucky Wesleyan men's basketball team will have a Purple-White game on Monday, Nov. 10, at the Sportscenter, according to Panther head coach Happy Osborne. Tipoff is 7 p.m.

Admission will be $5 per family plus a donation of can goods and toys. The can goods and toys will be given to the Pitino Shelter for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This marks the first Owensboro debut before the Panthers open the 2014-15 season at Tiffin, Ohio, in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GLIAC-G-MAC) Challenge.

The Panthers will play Tiffin at 7 CT on Friday, Nov. 14, and Wayne State at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 15.

KWC returns four letterwinners including two starters along with three redshirts from last season's squad that finished second in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season and tournament with a 22-9 record.

Osborne added eight newcomers including two high school standouts, two junior college and four Division I transfers. Four of the eight come from the Bahamas, Canada, Nigeria and Spain.
