Game recap by MSU:

The Murray State Racers put five players in double-figure scoring Thursday in an 89-56 win over the Brescia Bearcats at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.

The Racers got off to a 24-2 start and enjoyed a 44-24 lead at the break. MSU kept the pressure on the Bearcats (2-3) in the second half as they built a largest lead of 38 points at 83-45 with 5:54 remaining.

The win for MSU (2-1) was their first at home this season and provided a tune up for their next challenge, a Monday game in Cincinnati against the Xavier Musketeers.

Jarvis Williams was 9-of-11 from the field for 21 points, while Cameron Payne and Jonathan Fairell each scored 15 points. Fairell added 12 rebounds and Payne posted a career-high six steals. Justin Seymour and T.J. Sapp each scored 10 points and combined to go 7-of-13 from the field.

The Racers ended the game shooting 50 percent from the field on 31-of-61 shots, while Brescia was 21-of-52 for 40 percent. MSU won the rebound total 40-31.
