Harrison County Gets OT Win at Madison Central and More in the High School Recap for December 8, 2014

The high school schedule around Kentucky was somewhat light last night. Here's a quick rundown of what stood out and a list of scores from around the state.

Five that stood out:

Beechwood 61 Covington Latin 17

I always hate to see scores like this although I know it's inevitable. It's tough for a school like Covington Latin, which only has seven players listed on the team's roster.

June Buchanan 55 Jenkins 33

First year head coach Elisha Justice is off to a 3-0 start at JBS. I have a feeling things are about to get real, however, as Knott County Central visits Pippa Passes tomorrow.

Breckinridge County 81 Butler County 73

The Fighting Tigers move to 3-0 on the season for head coach Patrick Critchelow. I still remember  Critchelow leading BC to the state championship in 1995. Has it really been almost 20 years?

Harrison County 74 Madison Central 72 (OT)

Trenton Thompson scored 33 points to lead Harrison County to a solid overtime win on the road. The Thorobreds are now 3-1 on the season.

Leslie County 86 Breathitt County 62

The season could be a long one for Breathitt County. The Bobcats are now 0-4.
