Noah Cottrill Repeats as Mid-South Conference Player of the Week

Georgetown College guard Noah Cottrill has been named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- For a second straight week, Georgetown (Ky.) junior Noah Cottrill is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

The weekly award is the second this season for Cottrill.

The Logan, West Virginia, guard scored a game-high 25 points in the Tigers' 89-86 overtime win over No. 8-ranked Martin Methodist (Tenn.) -- Georgetown's lone game last week.

Cottrill scored 18 of his 25 points after the break to help the No. 15-ranked Tigers overcome a 13-point halftime deficit. He scored five of the Tigers' 11 points in the extra period to hand the RedHawks their first loss of the season.

Cottrill connected on nine of his 17 shots from the field, including making three 3-pointers in the win. He was also a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line while recording six rebounds and three steals in the top-20 matchup.

Cottrill leads in the Mid-South in scoring (21.9) and 3-pointers made (45) and ranks second in the conference free throw percentage (83.7) and 3-pointers made per game (3.2). He also ranks in the conference's top 10 in field goal percentage (46.9), 3-point field goal percentage (40.9) and assists per game (3.2).

Nationally, Cottrill is second in 3-pointers made and eighth in scoring and 3-pointers made per game.

Georgetown improves to 12-2 overall with last week's win. The Tigers are 3-2 in the Mid-South Conference.

The next MSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week will be announced on Monday, Dec. 22.
