Thomas More's Drew Mumford Named PAC Player of the Week for Second Time in Three Weeks

Thomas More College's Drew Mumford was named Presidents' Athletic Conference player of the week for the second time in three weeks on Monday.

(GREENVILLE, Pa.) – Thomas More College senior forward Drew Mumford (Louisville, Ky./Christian Academy) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.

Mumford helped lead the Saints to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 25.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. The senior also added three assists and a blocked shot. He shot 69.2 percent (18-of-29) from the field, including knocking down all five of his three-point field goal attempts. In Saturday's win over across-the-river rival Mount St. Joseph University, Mumford converted on nine-of-13 attempts from the field, including four-of-four from behind the three-point line. He also made eight-of-nine free-throws to finish with a game-high 30 points. Mumford currently leads the PAC in scoring (18.8 points/game), is third in three-point field goal percentage (57.5 percent) and is fourth in free throw percentage (78.7 percent).

Thomas More is idle until December 31 when it travels to Lexington, Kentucky to play in-state rival Transylvania University. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. inside the Beck Center.
