Alice Lloyd College's Tyler Rogers Named KIAC Player of the Week

Alice Lloyd's Tyler Rogers was named KIAC Player of the Week on Monday.

Alice Lloyd College junior Tyler Rogers was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 5th.

Alice Lloyd College finished the week 2-1, earning a pair of conference wins against Point Park University and Carlow University. Their only loss was against NCAA Western Kentucky University. For the week, Rogers averaged 15 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals. He shot 51.7 percent (15-of-29) from the field. He recorded 17 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal against Western Kentucky. The junior forward tallied 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks in a 76-68 win against Carlow. He finished the week with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals in a 72-63 win against Point Park. Rogers ranks 9th in the KIAC with 14.94 points per game and is 2nd in block per game (1.94) which ranks 16th in NAIA Division II.

The Eagles are currently 6-10 overall and 3-0 in conference play. They will return to action on January 8th when they travel to Boyce College.
