Lindsey Wilson College 89
MidAmerica Nazarene 66

Final from Columbia, Kentucky

Game recap by LWC:

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team opened the 2015 portion of its schedule with a decisive 89-66 win over visiting MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) on Saturday at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders -- who have won both all-time meetings against MidAmerica Nazarene -- led wire-to-wire en route running their record to 9-7 on the season. The Pioneers slip to 3-9.

D'on Hall led Lindsey Wilson's charge into the New Year, scoring nine of his 17 points over a nine-minute span to open the game. Hall was just as active on the defensive end -- finishing with a team-high seven rebounds and a couple of steals.

Lindsey Wilson used Hall's play to sprint out to a 26-8 lead through 10 minutes. The Blue Raiders would extend the lead to as many as 24 points prior to taking a 41-24 halftime lead.

While Hall led the Blue Raiders in the first half, Julian Edmonson took the torch from his senior backcourt running mate in the second stanza. Edmonson -- who scored a game-high 23 points -- poured in 16 points after the break, including making all four of his 3-pointers.

Edmonson and Hall combined to make 15-of-25 shots from the floor, including 8-of-14 from beyond the 3-point arc. The pair helped the Blue Raiders shoot 53.4 percent (31-of-58) from the field for the game.

The Pioneers managed to cut the Lindsey Wilson lead to 12 points on two different occasions in the second half. Both times, the Blue Raiders responded with spurts that ultimately pushed the lead back to -- what the Lindsey Wilson faithful would consider -- a more comfortable margin.

Lindsey Wilson extended its lead to 26 late in the half before settling on the 23-point win.

Bryan Wallace and Dusan Pantovic scored 14 and 10 points respectively off the bench -- part of a 41-point game from the Blue Raider reserves.
