No. 1 Ballard to Play at Cordia Saturday Afternoon

No. 1 Ballard will travel to Hazard for a battle with the Cordia Lions on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Cordia (8-1) has won eight consecutive games following a season-opening loss to Sheldon Clark.

The Lions are only allowed to play a 15-game schedule this season due to KHSAA sanctions.

According to the KHSAA website, Cordia still has a game against Clay County and a home-and-home series with Lawrence County showing on the schedule. They can still add two games.

Ballard is currently 17-2 and has not lost to any in-state teams.

The Bruins will have to overcome a long road trip, a small (but very challenging) gym and a talented team who are playing well for coach Rodrick Rhodes.

According to Google Maps, it will be a 3-4 hour trip for Ballard via bus:
