Cincinnati Christian 72
Final from Cincinnati, Ohio
Game recap by BU:
The Brescia Bearcats rallied from a 17-point deficit to defeat the Golden Eagles of Cincinnati Christian University on Saturday night on the road. After coming all the way back to take a two-point lead, D.J. McCommons tied the game on two free throws for Cincinnati Christian with 22.3 seconds remaining. Trey Howard got a good look at a three-pointer with three seconds remaining, but it was just off the mark. On the ensuing rebound, senior DeCarlos Collier crashed the offensive glass, grabbed the ball, and hit a contested turnaround jumper from about 15 feet just before the buzzer to give the Bearcats the win, the 1-seed in the South Division, and the outright South Division Championship. Austin Morris led Brescia with 25 points on 10-13 shooting and was joined in double-figures by Jermain Langley with 18 points and 8 assists and Collier with 17 points, including the game winner.
