Darius Miller Has Signed to Play in Germany

Former Kentucky star Darius Miller has signed with Brose Baskets Bamberg in Germany's top-level BBL league.

Miller is in his third professional season after spending the first two with the New Orleans Pelicans.

German Beko BBL team Brose Baskets Bamberg have let thier excellent contacts work bringing in NBA flair with Darius Miller (203-G-90, college: Kentucky) Two seasons ago Miller played as a rookie with ex Bamberg guard Brian Roberts in New Orleans and now will learn how professional the ex club is of Roberts. Miller is a 203cm guard that will be playing his third professional season after playing the his first two seasons in the NBA. The German club gave him a contract until the end of the season. Last season Miller played for the New Orleans Pelicans (NBA) plaiyng 45 games and averaging 4.2ppg, 1.2rpg. This season he played five games for the Pelicans. "Darius is a versatile wing player that can play two positions. He is very athletic and has a good three pointer and has a high basketball IQ", stressed Bamberg head coach Andrea Trincieri. Miller played at Kentucky from 2008-2012 and as a senior played 40 games averaging 9.9ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.1apg, FGP: 56.9%, 3PT: 37.6%, FT: 79.7%. He turned professional in 2012 and was Drafted by the New Orleans Hornets (NBA,2rd (46). He then played with the New Orleans Hornets (NBA), in Jan.'13 signed at Iowa Energy (D-League): 11 games: 9.9ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.6apg, FGP: 41.9%, 3PT: 51.2%, FT: 76.9%, later that month moved back to New Orleans Hornets (NBA): 52 games: 2.3ppg, 1.5rpg.
