Here is the release from the MSC:

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Georgetown (Ky.) junior Noah Cottrill is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Cottrill becomes the first player this season to earn the weekly award three times. He also picked up the honor on Dec. 8 and Dec. 15.

The Logan, West Virginia, guard averaged 30 points, 5.5 rebounds and two steals in a pair of Georgetown wins last week.

Cottrill poured in 32 points -- tied for the 10th highest point total in a game this season in the MSC -- and grabbed eight rebounds in the Tigers' 101-81 win over Wilberforce (Ohio). He made nine of his 13 shots from the field and was 11-of-12 from the free throw line in the non-conference win.

On Saturday, Cottrill scored 28 points while dishing out two assists in a 107-82 win over Life (Ga.). He was 10-for-18 from the field, including 6-for-10 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Cottrill shot 61.3 percent (19-of-31) from the field in the two wins. He made 52.9 percent (9-of-17) of his 3-point shots and all but one of his 14 free throws.

Cottrill leads in the Mid-South in scoring averaging 22.4 points per game. He is second in the conference with 73 3-pointers made and third in 3-point percentage (43.2) and free throw percentage (86.7). Nationally, Cottrill is fourth in the NAIA in scoring and 3-pointers made and 10th in free throw percentage.

No. 13-ranked Georgetown improves to 21-3 overall and 8-2 in the Mid-South with last week's wins.

The next MSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week will be announced on Monday, Feb. 16.
