Hagen Tyler Sends Boyle County to the Sweet Sixteen with Clutch Free Throws

Northern Kentucky University signee Hagen Tyler stepped to the line in a tie game with 1.0 seconds showing on the clock tonight at Lincoln County in the 12th Region championship game.

With Patriot fans making as much noise as humanly possible, Tyler quietly stepped to the line and drained both charity tosses to give Boyle County a 48-46 win and send the Rebels to next week's Sweet Sixteen at Rupp Arena.

Jeremiah Bell led the Rebels (26-6)with 22 points. Tyler, who was named to the all-tournament team after the game, finished with 18.

Lincoln County (25-6) got 14 points from Jacob Conway. Timmy Taylor added 11.

Boyle County will have a rematch against Lexington Catholic next Thursday at 1:30 p.m. EST in the state tournament. Catholic beat the Rebels 65-47 in December.
